We support biophysical characterization, bioavailability enhancement, formulation development, process development, clinical supply manufacturing, QC batch release, and stability.

Our team has decades of experience in pharmaceutical research, development, and commercialization. We specialize in parenteral formulation development for drug-device combination products, as well as established and emerging therapies, such as peptides, small molecules, proteins, oligos and gene therapies. Our team provides expert consultancy to facilitate the most effective transition across the drug product lifecycle through integrated partnerships with our laboratory and manufacturing network to advance your programs.

The San Diego location was originally founded as Drug Delivery Experts, LLC by Chris Rhodes, PhD, in 2014. Drug Delivery Experts (DDE) was established as a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) with expertise in small molecules and biologics and offering contract drug product R&D, clinical trial materials manufacturing, from simple solutions to complex injectable formulations. They specialized in supporting parenteral drug products from solutions to particulate systems and long-acting technologies. Projects ranged from preclinical formulation to clinical supply and commercial product reformulation.
